May 2nd, 2023 is Election Day in Michigan!

Dear Voters,

We want to remind you that May 2, 2023 is Election Day in Michigan. Polls will open at 7 am and close at 8 pm. It is important that you exercise your right to vote and make your voice heard in this election. Whether you choose to obtain and vote an absent voter ballot in person at your local Clerk's office or vote in person at your proper precinct, make sure you have a plan to vote and that you follow through with it.

Local elections may not receive the same level of attention as national elections, but they are just as important. Local officials make decisions that directly impact your community, such as road repairs, school funding, and public safety. By voting in local elections, you can help ensure that your community is represented by officials who share your values and priorities. Here are three tips for creating a voting plan:

  1. Check your voter registration status: Make sure you are registered to vote and that your registration is up-to-date. You can do this online or by contacting your local Clerk's office.

  2. Know your polling place: Find out where your polling place is located and plan how you will get there on Election Day. If you are voting by absentee ballot, make sure you know where and when to return your ballot.

  3. Research the candidates and issues: Take the time to research the candidates and issues on the ballot. You can find information online, in local newspapers, and from candidate forums and debates. Make an informed decision based on your values and priorities.

Lastly, we want to thank you for your dedication to voting in every election. By participating in the democratic process, you are helping to shape the future of your community and your country. So, mark your calendar and make your plan to vote on May 2, 2023.

Sincerely,

Vote Voiced
